Three numbers decide how a knit feels and performs. Knowing them helps you brief us precisely — and get the garment you pictured.
Yarn count describes thickness; ply is how many strands are twisted together. Together they set the weight and density of the fabric — a 2/26 merino knits far finer than a chunky 1-ply lambswool.
Gauge (gg) is the number of needles per inch on the machine. Low gauge (3–5gg) gives chunky, textured knits; high gauge (12–14gg+) gives fine, smooth, fully-fashioned pieces. We knit across the full range.
Garment weight — driven by yarn, gauge and construction — shapes drape, warmth and how premium a piece feels in hand. We sample to a target weight, not by guesswork.
